Damon braces

#1 Post by Sammie1987 »

Hey folks, I read so many of your stories before I got braces and just wanted to say thank you for all the advice/tips and ask a couple questions.

My brackets are really low on my teeth , definitely not central like I've seen most of yours are. I'm guessing there is a reason but I didn't really notice too much when he put them on. when I rest my mouth (slightly open) you can see fully the 2 brackets and it doesn't look nice . My front 2 teeth are in perfect position just the 2 either side are too far back and I have an over bite .

Also with Damon braces are the white wires more expensive or not as good as the silver ? I paid £4000 for top and bottom Damon clear braces but when I left noticed the wire was silver yet most people seem to have white?

Thanks

The white wire is an option people can get if their orthodontist offers it, but only early in treatment, it's not an option later on.

Most people don't even say anything about my braces, and that is the experience of most people on these forums.
Lots of crimes here

1. The upper molars bite too far ahead of the lower molars

2. Missing teeth #s 9, 14, and, 29

3. Open bite

4. Upper midline left of center

5. Lower midline right of center

6. Upper and lower teeth not straight

Sentence - 24 months, turned to 27 month.

Braces removed since 11/06/17

Ah ok thank you! Lots of people have noticed mine, its hard not to because of how low they are, but usually people just ask what's wrong with my teeth , they don't seem to see what I've been paranoid about my whole life lol :)

My orthodontist told me that the white wires don't stay white for long, and said if I chose the clear, I really should go ahead and start with silver wire since its some kind of paint that really just chips off fairly quickly. I have noticed that in some pictures in search engines too, several people with the white wires, you can see missing white spots! Good luck, whatever you decide!

That makes sense with all the brushing we have to do , it's bound to chip. Thanks for your reply , I'm just going to stay with the silver , think it was just a shock the first week , I'm used to them now :)
