Final wire... teeth don't meet

#1 Post by stellarxoxo »

Hello

I recieved my final wire and powerchains on Wednesday, and my teeth must be shifting quite well because now I can't bite down without my front top tooth hitting the bottom bracket. Before the new wire i could bite doen and all my teeth met...With previous wires I know it's taken a bit for my teeth to meet again/being able to bite down and meet but trying to bite down now it's driving me crazy. Is this something that will sort itself out.. or am I going to need the bracket moved or something?

If the elastics don't move teeth enough; your ortho can put bends in the wire to help. Just make sure to point out your concerns at your next appointment.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!
