My ortho sells these for $395. I'm seeing elsewhere people saying closer to $900. Are there different types or does my ortho have some great deal?

Perhaps your ortho doesn't want to make as much of a profit on it as others.

Re: Acceledent for $395
We actually sell these in the office at a "loss" to help certain patients where the treatment may end up more efficient. The way we look at it, it might be worth selling it at a lower cost if it helps speed up treatment, help us with the results, or make the experience a better one for our patients. There are also some discounts that may be available for bulk purchases of these units, but most orthos are now shying away from this as it is a large up front expense to keep these units on the shelves, particularly if selling at cost or even below.
