How long it takes for your pain to go away after adjustment?

#1 Post by jintgirl »

I have been wearing braces since June 2016. Anyway, I just started wearing powerchains for two months. My pain seems to go away within three days, and then I would get some pains in a one tooth or two teeth.

I'm curious if some of you have this experience?

Very common experience. You think you're home free after a few days, then a tooth or three decides to get sensitive, seemingly at random times and intervals. Best of luck to you!

I'm 7 weeks in and had 1 adjustment, I felt pressure when it was fitted and a day or so after, then hardly anything ,then just the odd tooth feeling sore on and off.
After the first adjustment, the coil spring was taken off and my front tooth finally connected to the wire so again I felt pressure on that which then made all the front teeth sore especially when eating the next couple days after, ever since, each tooth has been taking it in turns again. 2nd adjustment is next Wednesday and I hope it's all moving in the right direction

Every adjustment seems to be different for me. I'm almost 4 weeks past my last one and my front uppers are killing me. I've got elastics in class 2 and 3 positions and I think that's what's doing it. I have another appointment in two days and I'm dreading getting power chains yanked off and back on with teeth this sore.
Braces for 18 months/4 days.
