2 months in & I'm feeling good

#1 Post by Nicfan »

I had my damon braces (top & bottom) fitted about 2 months ago, whilst I hated them at first I'm now slowly getting used to them & starting to see a difference in my teeth already.

I've been told I will have to wear them for 18 months, just wondering if this is a standard period for adult braces or if it will be shorter or longer. I have an overbite on my top front teeth & a crooked front tooth too.

It's exciting looking at my before pics & seeing the progress in such a short time.

Congratulations. The actual end-date is hard to predict, but you should feel encouraged by the changes so far! Most of the time changes in duration are in the direction of longer, rather than shorter, but the latter does happen! Best of luck to you.

Really good and encouraging to hear, good for you!

I'm on day 4 and still want to cry every morning when I wake up and remember I have them in. Roll on 2 months haha.

It does get better Ruby77 I promise. I can barely tell I have them in now - apart from when I'm eating of course :(

I'm due to have my wires changed for the first time in just over a week, no doubt this will cause me a bit of discomfort again.

Still feeling positive about it all so far, 16 months to go & I've dropped almost 2 stone too so it's all good :)
