Front Two Teeth Becoming Uneven ? (With Pictures)

#1 Post by juliaarnold »

So since I got my braces on, I’ve obviously noticed my teeth becoming straighter, but I’ve started noticing how my front teeth (which were pretty even before braces) are becoming more and more uneven. why would my orthodontist pull one front tooth down way more than the other? It doesn’t make sense to me ...

second slightly unrelated question: i got a power chain put on at my last visit. so if he was planning on making my front two teeth even again, wouldn’t it make more sense to put the power chain on after ?

The pictures are for comparison. the one picture is from the day I got my braces on and the other is my teeth currently .

A good question to ask your ortho; the movements are not always in a progression that makes sense to the patient but definitely ask at your next visit and have your ortho explain the plan in a bit more detail. Best of luck to you!

I can't see pics yet (maybe this will be the magic post!), but my ortho is also planning to put a power chain in 4 teeth that are still uneven at my next visit. I know power chains can do more than just close gaps, but I don't know what and how. I second asking or calling to inquire.
