loose tooth

#1 Post by lheilner59 »

has anyone else noticed a tooth that feels somewhat loose? I am three months in and upper left hand side has one tooth that feels like it moves when I bite on it.

Hi There- I know in the beginning of treatment, I noticed a curve in my archwire and thought I had done it. I tried pushing around the area and literally pushed one of the teeth back out of alignment. That took a few months to fix LOL!! However; since the jaw surgery, I am having challenges with getting teeth to move. Image

My ortho told me that I might feel like teeth are loose at times, and that is normal. Right now I have some that seem to move a little (like pop into and out of place). I believe it to be normal. I would only be concerned if it was super loose feeling. It still wouldn't hurt to give your ortho a call if you are still concerned.

I agree with jw. I've got at least two teeth, each with a slight wiggle right now and a Bugs Bunny incisor being one of them.

It is quite normal to feel some teeth a little more loose than the others. I have a couple of such teeth now and I'm about a year and 2 months into treatment.
