Anyone have experience taking prednisone with braces?

I may have to take prednisone for a medical issue, and if so it will be for at least a few months. I know that it can slow movement because it's an anti-inflammatory drug, but does anyone know if it can have other deleterious effects. I have a call into my orthodontist since there are some other medication options and want to discuss with him and my physician. Slowing tooth movement is the least of my concerns.

I don't that have that particular personal experience, but you have a good plan. And, best of luck with that medical condition. I would suspect that at most the prednisone might delay the completion of your treatment slightly, since it sounds like this will be a short-term med for you. Best of luck with your issue.
