Holy crap. It has it's humor.

And to think some of us are worried about ours showing at all.
Full upper and lower metal braces put on May 12, 2005.

Braces free as of April 18, 2006!

Temporarily rebraced Nov. 21, 2006. ( I think I've moved past temporary. )

Brace free again - July 26, 2007.

Good! I agree with that.

If you don't believe it: Do a google search for "braces fetish". There ARE people who are sexually drawn to dental braces. And they wear them "for fun".

I think all this thing is not only disgusting but quite humiliating for anyone who undergoes the hardships of a real ortho treatment. I would certainly not like to meet anyone who thinks I do that "just for the fun of it" and to enhance my love life... oh boy.

Despite that: Isn't possible to damage ones teeth wearing expanders and braces that you don't need?

Indeed, there is at least one company that I know of that custom-makes fake orthodontic gear. Why anyone would want to endure that, I don't really understand....it takes all kinds....
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!

There are even people that fake needing a wheelchair. One person even shot off his leg to become an amputee. I think those people have some mental issues so they actually WANT to suffer from something or want to stand out as disabled, poor or whatever. Maybe to get attention? Who knows.

Anyway.. got to open my webcam and make some money. :-P Haha just kidding.

I think the Thailand braces thing is probably more a fad than a fetish. Perhaps if you put the brackets on and the wire was only loose it wouldn't actually move the teeth? Like, if the wire was bent to the shape of the arch rather than moving the teeth to fit the wire? Bah - who knows? It's insane, anyway...I wonder how the wearers feel the first time they get a huge ulcer/canker sore??
