I was afraid the adjustment would really really hurt becaue the first one sure did...my teeth were really sensitive at the time. I had almost no pain the second month (though the damn things continue to dig into the inside of my cheeks!) So, the second adjustment was also pain-free.
During the second month, my front teeth, which had still been sticking out a bit, really moved back. Now, we are waiting on the bottoms to be straight, and then I get powerchains to close the gaps.
I was hoping I'd get power chains in April, but I'm not sure I'll be ready. My ortho did say I'd get a stronger archwire next time, probably.
It's been frustrating this second month--the change was dramatic in my first month and this month has shown little noticeable change. I did see some straightening, however. And, I had a canine (both actually, but one was really bad) turned at a 90 degree angle to the tooth next to it...so I think of it as 3 o'clock. During the last month, it went from 3 o'clock to 4 o'clock...that's exciting.
My ortho did a few figure 8s with my ligs this time, too. Actually I realized tonight that since last week, I've already seen a change...the teeth are straightening. I hope I see something good this month. I'm so anxious!
