New to Invisalign..back of aligner rubbing tongue. It hurts!
I just got my first set of aligners yesterday. On the bottom aligner, the back edge feels like it's sticking out a bit. The underside of my tongue is killing b/c it butts up against the edge at rest and every time I talk. It's being scraped raw. Is there anything I can do about this or am I stuck? I have to have this set for four weeks to start and am moving to two weeks per aligner after that. I can't imagine being this uncomfortable for four weeks!

Im in a good position to help with this ? as I had the exact same problem if its what I think it is. On my trays its just the bottom right hand side that sticks out, I think because it covers a low lying wisdom tooth so after a couple of uncomfortable days I made the decision to locate where the problem was and deal with it, I did not consult the ortho I just did it. What I ended up doing was cliping off about 2mm with a pair of nail clippers then rubbing the area with some fine sandpaper and after that everything was fine and I continue to do it on all my trays (now on 18) so if it is a minor problem like mine then have a go and do not be scared after all u have to be able to deal with the trays for 22 hours a day
