I take it with a grain of salt. I find that some people look great with braces while others look odd but as time goes on you get used to their new temporary look. Obviously once the teeth begin to straighten out the braced-look becomes more appealing because the smile is more attractive.

I've been told that I look rather 'cute' with braces on...LOL...I think I look rather strange with them on. I'm still not used to seeing myself with them.

I've gotten used to having braces on, and I've had a few girls think I look "BEAUTIFUL" with them on some even say drop dead sexy and Hot.

That is too funny because I have had a few guys tell me I look cute with them. Of course I have to take that with a grain of salt because I look so young. Do they mean I look cute in a young, high school/junior high way?

I personally like how they make me and my teeth look.

It's interesting that all the negative perceptions are listed up front..."ugly, metal mouth, terrible".

The reality is that very few of us on here seem either to feel that way or have been the subject of such perceptions.

I actually don't mind how I look with braces. My lips are a little plumper plus my teeth are already so much straighter that I love to smile now. I'm glad I have crystal brackets on top.
