Mmmn.. Sadly my twisty didn't get a bracket today :(

BUT - definitely next adjustment! :D

I also got a new wire on top. 19X25 Heat activated nitinol alloy to be precise!!

:P :D

AND - added bonus of knowing I only have two more payments to make before I have finished paying for my treatment! :D

I'm gonna have a nice HOT cup of coffee now! Will post some adjustment pics over the next few days!

Hey Sjsarre,

My goodness!!!!!!! Your teeth looks so Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are so lucky you have 2 more payments. After my dental insurance paid for my braces and I still have to pay the balance. I think I have about one more year to go before pay off. Hope on your next appt your ortho will finally decide put bracket on your twisty tooth. Good luck on your next appt.

I've been busy the past week so haven't posted... But since i've got my hair chopped off today and coloured quite a dramatic change! 4inches off and change from blonde to a dark red/brown... I thought I would also take photos of where my smile is to date!

Nothing major to report. There is definitely enough room for the twist to join the action at my next adjustment scheduled for the 22 Feb. In the meantime my new wire on the top gave a little discomfort for the first few days but there is no pain at all now!!

Had to cancel my cleaning last week as my teeth were too sore, but i'll be going in a weeks time.

Your hair looks GREAT! It's similar in color to mine, but a little bit darker.

Your teeth look great too, btw!

Thanks...

I've gotta get used to it.. Not so sure about it yet, but the thing is its a semi permanent colour so it'll start fading in a couple of weeks..

Hi everyone, just a little update...

I was getting rather concerned about the colour of my teeth. There were strange looking dark spots and brown and yuck.. Welll basically after using corsodyl for a week they were hideous...

Luckily I had a cleaning yesterday. The first for a year and first once since having my brace put on. The Hygenist advised me that the stains were most definitely the corsodyl and the dark spots were nothing to worry about, they were staining aswell.

She managed to remove a little of the brown stain from my laterals but advised me that the rest was calcification caused by them touching my central incisors for so many years.

Anyway other than having yet more curry staining here's a quick update of pictures taken today!

To be honest Ken I haven't bothered booking cleanings and my dentist hasn't suggested them. Well up until just before Xmas that is when he suggested I get one done. He says everything is fine and i've had updated xrays etc. The Hygenist didn't seem that fazed that I still can't floss properly as some of my front bottoms are so close together they shred even the smallest of floss. I guess since I haven't flossed for my entire life a few more months won't hurt. Although I do attempt to floss everywhere I end up with it sticking out from my teeth and breaking off - LOL.

She told me not to worry and to try it again when I have better gaps!

I think i'll book myself in for more regular cleanings now. Maybe every 4 to 5 months, i'm going to book one for May time.

:D :D

It would be great to see you visit Ken..

Hope your teeth are treating you kindly!

Lookin' good, Sarah!

Glad you've gotten your cleaning issues sorted out; my dentist first said for me to come in every four months, but my last cleaning went so well she said I could go back to every six. Yay me! Keep at the attempts to floss; it will certainly get easier once you have some gaps!

Thanks for your replies everyone. My Hygenist was not too fazed as I said, but then I think thats because I use a study type of flosser which I can poke through the gaps at the bottom of my teeth where they meet the gumline.

NP Ken... Waiting for your PM!

Glad to hear you are adjusting to the powerchains!

Well week 42 and a bit... No change of wire on top but finally a bracket on old twisty. Ortho says i'm doing well and hopes that my twist will be in a position to really start moving around at the next adjustment.

So here is the 2wk and 42wk front comparison

Here is the twisty and new bracket
