Hi Janster and welcome.
Spacers can feel a little sore for a few days, because they are moving your teeth enough for bands to be fitted round them.
Most people on here seem to agree that spacers are the most uncomfortable part of braces. If you can cope with them, then braces will be a breeze! The discomfort usually seems to lessen after 3 or 4 days.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

SPACERS
I Had spacers put in on tuesday ,first full day was the worse- i found it really hurt to chew-and had a constant urge to eat all the time!it is now day 3 and im fine -i guess they annoy me at times but overall barely notice they are there.i only have them for7 days so not to long now!dont worry the pain will soon cease!
Hi, I had spacers for a total of 30 days and none of those days were pain free. It was a relief to get braces yesterday. It is true, if you can live through the spacers, the worse is over. Good luck!
