#1 Post by the trooper2 »

I had my braces put on thursday and before i had them on i had really bad teeth they were all crooked and not in line, but after a few days of braces i noticed a change most of my top teeth are in line!.Seeing results like this make me really glad to have braces. And i was just wondering is this normal to have so much movement in a few days?

That is fast work :o . My teeth are relatively straight. I am correcting my deep overbite - i have some minor crookedness on the bottom. I have had mine for 6 days and I have seen some difference in my bottom teeth. Unfortunately, I have had pain to go along with the movement. Like they say, No Pain - No Gain! Maybe your time in braces will be extra short .

It's great that you're seeing movement already the trooper2!

I too saw a lot of movement early. Perhaps not in the first week but gradually the straightened well between the fitting and my first adjustment. My dentist was very impressed, but then it all slowed down a lot and I'm going to go over the original estimate by quite a few months. I still get movement spurts rather than a slow constant progress though, and it's great to suddenly notice changes. :D

Hope the movement continues as it has been and gives little discomfort.

Great news that you're seeing results so quickly, Trooper! I guess you have youth on your side

I haven't got my top braces on yet but my bottom teeth started to move quickly and I noticed a difference within a week. Later changes have been more subtle though. But there's nothing like seeing that crooked wire go stright to make you realise that getting braces was a great idea.

Here's to you having continued rapid progress.
