Those little w_nkers between my teeth annoy me. I am not really waiting for the braces. I just realized that I should have asked for essix retainer. Hawley one looks so stupid. But I am hoping that I do not need the retainer after I can bite my teeth together without hitting the lower brackets.

Also, I am thinking to swop to invisalign when my bite permits it.

I guess I am having that "oh my god what I am doing" phase....

Spacer Dream.

I dreamed last night that all my spacers had popped out while sleeping. I collected them, and only one was broken. I decided to put them back, but unfortunately they cougt a fire from my fireplace.

Hmmm. Does anyone know how to interrep dreams? :D

They have to stay only one day in my mouth, because if they drop tomorrow I don't need to replace them. Luckily they seem to sit quite firmly between my teeth.

Your interpretation made sort of sense :)

So one day left with spacers. Needless to say, but I won't be missing them.

This is awful :(

I got my braces and retainer.
I can't eat anything hard, i have awful lisp. My lower braces show too much.

I didn't expect to get this kind of reaction after getting braced.

My face feel better, though. I not able to bite to the corner of my palate and front teeth, which caused my front teeth and face ache.

This is hard. Why I did not fix my bite when I was a kid!!!!

Ok, some pictures :)

Some of my teeth are very sore, the ones who do not line with the others.

Here I am biting my teeth tohgether, when having my retainer. It is somewhat difficult to eat.

The "line" over top front teeth is my retainer, shown in this picture:

Thanks linda21, KK, and
Denise!

My teeth are really sore. I woke in the middle of the night to take a painkiller.

Yesterday I bought just soft food; ice cream, porrigde, and soups.
I can't eat anything hard, because I can't bite down. I just hope I will get rid of the retainer soon and I will get some contacts between my molars.

Today I am doing bette:), not feeling so akward anymore.

I really want to get rid of my retainer.
Here is a picture how my upper ones touches the lower brackets.
I think the lower ones should move backwards or forwards to prevent this. Frankly, I don't really care where they move. I just want to throw my retainer to the bin.

My other side is ok. Wonder how long that will take. My uppers do not move anywhere.

Good luck with your treatment ... your time frame is short, so hopefully this will all be over soon!
:), yes, with lower braces and retainer it is about 6-9 months. The total treatment time is 20 months.

Thanks!

I am very happy that the teeth are moving. It means that I will get rid of my retainer someday.
Also the premolars other side are very sore. They are supposed to grow.
I was told that I will see lot's of movement by the assistant when I got my braces :)

YES

I have beem trying to quit smoking. It is going well :). Nicotine plasters really work. I started with 21 mg ones (i smoked sometimes :(), Now having 14 mg ones and I have not been smoking.

I calculated that quitting smoking will almost pay my braces :). It is easy in CA, because you can't smoke in bars....

I had my first show since having braces. I took my retainer away, so I could speak properly :).
