Many thanks for the support and kind thoughts. It's not as simple as dehydration or blood sugar (I wish it was). Preliminary tests ruled all that stuff out. And yes, it would have been much worse going down face-first!

Part of the problem yesterday was the terrible medicine I was supposed to take. It was a "try it for a week and see if it helps" kind of thing, so I've decided to stop taking it and feel so much better today - not totally better but i'm back to just being tired, not tired plus stomach and muscle aches!

Another adjustment today...

- reposition a bracket on the front bottom
- powerchains only on the right side underneath the wire- centre to back molar
- powerchains on the top cainines back to molars, both sides
- powerchains over the top front 2 teeth
- lighter bottom wire
- continue with the elastics top cainines to bottom 2nd premolar 24/7.

And, to no one's suprise, i'm back to liquids - even scrambled eggs and overcooked macaroni hurt again WITH 2 aleve in me. This is getting damn frustrating - after all this time you'd think to develop some kind of pain tolerance.

But our office is moving to a different building today, so it's a "work from home" afternoon. At least I don't have to see people eating lunch while I slurp down Ensure. Drinking lunch is only fun if the drink has alcohol in it.

Anyone want a slightly used BBQ? I'm selling mine, since it hasn't been used since I got these things on, and it's not likely to be used in the near future (i've still got another 18 months to go). Steak is not my friend. Frankly, neither are hotdogs, burgers or anything else that gets cooked over fire. I guess they will all just taste that much better when i'm done.

It's a cranky, ranting day...

Almost 3 weeks since the last adjustment and i'm still in pain. Things are moving very quickly - I can wake up in the morning and see gaps where there were none the night before. It's dramatic (which is good) , but is causing no end of hurt and frustration. I had to have a back wire clipped 6 days after the adjustment, and will probably go for another clip in the next few days.

And it's not a matter of just sucking it up and eating through the pain. No one wants to eat with someone who tears up when trying to chew a small piece of french fry. I've got a training course on Monday where lunch is provided, and found out they were serving sandwiches, wraps and veggie platters. Well, that's no good. So I had to get them to order me a bowl of soup, but it's veggie beef so at least i'll be able to eat the broth and some of the boiled-to-death veggies.

Someone at work asked what I was going to eat after the braces came off, and the list is enormous: steak, corn on the cob, salad, raw veggies, sandwiches, burgers, chicken wings, ....

Anyway, I know people on here more commonly complain about seeing no progress, but the alternative isn't that great either. I asked the assistant about things moving too fast, but she said that everything looks fine.

I'm sure all of the responses to this will be super positive, chin-up, change your attitude types, and I appreciate them. But I need to wallow in misery for a little while at least (it was a crappy week at work on top of everything), so thanks for letting me rant.
