My braces came off in April 2007 and I can honestly say that I love my smile now - it was so worth it! There is not a day that goes by that I am not glad I did it.
The journey was fairly easy - 1 and a half years, elastics and powerchains for much of that to reduce my almost 100% overbite to normal.
The removal process wasn't so bad, although there was some real discomfort when the glue was being ground off. In retrospect I should have taken an avil beforehand and it would have been easier.
I have upper and lower essex and will be getting upper and lower hawley's soon for night-time wear.
Thanks so much to all who post on this site - it was a true help and inspiration! Here's what I think of you all....

And now for the good bit....photos!....
