Hi!

My braces came off in April 2007 and I can honestly say that I love my smile now - it was so worth it! There is not a day that goes by that I am not glad I did it.

The journey was fairly easy - 1 and a half years, elastics and powerchains for much of that to reduce my almost 100% overbite to normal.

The removal process wasn't so bad, although there was some real discomfort when the glue was being ground off. In retrospect I should have taken an avil beforehand and it would have been easier.

I have upper and lower essex and will be getting upper and lower hawley's soon for night-time wear.

Thanks so much to all who post on this site - it was a true help and inspiration! Here's what I think of you all....:jump: :jump:

Congratulations Geri, your teeth look lovely, you must be so pleased. The photos are really good and I'm sure will be inspirational for others with an overbite. My daughter has a similar overbite and is near to completing her treatment.

Enjoy you new smile and bite.

Awww - thanks everyone! That's so lovely of you all - and yes, I am beyond chuffed! Good luck with your journey's and hope you (and your daughters!) see lots of movement! This is not goodbye....I'll be checking in now and then...one day I'll be reading your naked tooth stories! :D :jump: :dance:
