Hello, i have been told you are the best person to speak to for this question.
I have 2 baby teeth remaining at the top in the front they are next two 2 very crooked and pointy out teeth if you can imagine what i mean.
behind the baby teeth i have the adult teeth, one is still in hiding in my gums somewhere and the other is behind my baby tooth almost like i have 2 layers of teeth only one shouldnt be there, cause its a baby..
anyway i want to have linguals do you think in my case i will still be able too??
and what will happen when i have the baby teeth taken out and there is a gap in the front of my mouth is it still possiblet to have temporary teeth stuck to linguals which would obviously change over time as the gap changes as the adults come forward..

please help me i am totally stressed i dont know what to do...

Yes to both your questions. You could start with lingual braces and then switch to invisalign if you wanted. Lingual braces can do everything that regular braces can do. lists all orthos in Canada that use ibraces. Just wondering if all who use ibraces would be listed. I came across a ortho in my area who claims to be an ibraces user, but I don't see him under this list. His site is
http://www.thebraceplace.ca/invisible.html and his name is Dr. Gurza. Just wondering if he isn't included in the ibraces website, would he, indeed be registered to use ibraces..........thanks

There are other types of lingual appliances other than i-braces. Maybe he uses one of these other types. But in my opinion i-braces are the most technologically advanced. Dr. Strassner

Hi Dr.Strassner,

I've got my lingual braces on for 2 months now. My major problem is the upper teeth protuding which makes my lip profile not so good. So I got 2 bicuspids(the one next to the molar) removed last week and got my wires on today. The technician who worked on me today told me that the 1st adjustment is to make the teeth straight and the next adjustment after 8 weeks will start trying to close the gap by using the chain. I have a concern here because I do want to pull the front teeth back to fill in the gap.But I don't want the molar teeth to move forward. But with such a chain on, I'm afraid that the molar will be pulled a little bit forward. So in such a case, what can we do to fix the molar instead of pulling it forward?

I am concerned about how to find a trustworthy doctor. I am choosing between invisalign and ibraces for my orthodontic treatment. I have spacing issues due to extractions (by a previous ortho), about 80-90% overbite, and some rotations.

I don't know which method is best for me. And I'm concerned that if the doctor recommends invisalign, its because he or she wants to get out to of the extra work of linguals, and if they recommend linguals, I'm concerned they just want to "upsell" me. How can I be sure whats best for me? I'm consulting 4 orthos this week in order to help. Can you recommend anything else?

Dr. Stassner can you use rubberbands with ibraces? my teeth arent that crooked but the reason i cant get invisalgne is because they have to move my bottom jaw forward. i dont know if i should ask my ortho about ibraces because doesnt use them; so i was just hoping you could answer my question, thanks.

My ibraces have been on for three months now and I'm the first ibraces patient for my ortho. During this time I have already lost two brackets. One off of my upper left very back mollar and one off of the left very back lower mollar. At my last ortho visit I had only lost the one upper bracket and he said my tx would be okay with out that one. But now that I'm missing two, shouldn't he order replacement brackets for me from ibraces? I have another 2 years to go in these and I'm concerned. Thanks for your help.
