no news, better than good news

#1 Post by meetli »

I just had an adjustment a couple weeks ago and the ortho told me that he would like the remainder of my appointments to be 4 weeks apart . He wants me to be de-banded by November or by the end of December (19.5 months) at the latest as there is not much work left to be done.

I've had my braces for 15 months, but after hearing this "good news" I feel like each day goes by SLOWER and SLOWER. The next 3 to 4 months are gonna be the longest of my life. Anyone have suggestions on how to get through them sanely?

I almost wish he hadn't mentioned anything at all.

I've been on a four week cycle for several months now with the most recent estimate for debanding being similar to yours. I'll believe it when I see it, as I've had earlier debanding dates foreshadowed and those have now come and gone. In the meantime, I've plenty to occupy my time (and thougths), an overseas trip in October and a possible interstate trip in November (dang those discount flights).

The time does pass quickly...I mean, we're almost two thirds through 2007!
