Thanks LAURI and KIWI. I can see and feel a difference when flossing. Flossing is most definately the way I judge movement. My teeth were so packed together when I started treatment. Now it is a breeze getting in there. Also my top back molars were flailing out before, and it was hard to brush them, but now they are in line and easier to clean. (That was the main reason for treatment!)....Thanks for your support. Good luck to all of you in treatment!!!
Well here I am 4 months and 13 days into braces. My next adjustment is this thursday, where hopefully *crosses fingers* I'll get my lower four teeth bracketed. Thought I'd post some pics. I was actually shocked today when I looked at my before picture. I had forgotten how bad they were! But as you can see, I've got a long way to go. I'm happy with my progress so far. Thanks for all your support, and I can see you guys are doing really great too!

I went in today for my adjustment, and I got my lower brackets on!!!!YIPPPEEEE!!! I am in some pain, but took some meds and am drinking plenty of fluids. I also wore a ton of chapstick as per KK to keep everything loose as a goose during the proceedings. I can't say I'm upset with the way I look, after the initial shock of the top braces, the bottoms coming are a breeze! Well here are some pics, hopefully they get to moving soon!

Thought I'd update some pictures. The treatment is going very well. I had to go in and get my top wire clipped in the back, as it was poking me...but other than that, smooth sailing!

Well good luck to all of you, and enjoy the pics!
I went to the Ortho on Aug 30th to have my wire removed for a cleaning (which went great by they way...)...and they did an unexpected adjustment! I got a "reverse" wire on my bottoms to close my bite. Three power chains (2 in the same places as before) but they are BLUE now! So happy about color! Same wire on top. I was really happy about the early adjustment, and look forward to the next one (oct 9th). My hygenist said I was doing an awesome job of cleaning, which made me very happy. I spend a great deal of time with that. I thought I'd post some new pics.....It's hard to believe how far I've come, and I am excited about the continued improvement....I LOVE BRACES!!!!!

I can see everyone is doing well, and for those of you going through a rough spot....stick in there! It will be worth it in the end.
Hey Beana- this is the first time that I've managed to have a look at your blog and it was a great read! We're similar ages (I'm 24) and my teeth aren't too different to yours either. My top teeth don't look that bad- it's my bottom ones that are all crowded and wonky!
You look like you're making great progress and you have a fantastic attitude. Love the photos as well!
YEESH! I haven't posted in a while. I had an adjustment yesterday (to be honest I've lost count). Where he repositioned a bracket, and put some new power chains on. In order to not stress the newly positioned bracket, we regressed to a weaker archwire. Which I understand is all part of the process. I am very pleased with my results so far. I am experiencing less and less pain after each adjustment, and am currently being seen appoximately ever 6-8 weeks while my power chains are on. So now for the pics....
