Now that I am back in this whole thing once again I am also now at the Southern General/Dental School under the Prof though not Koppel. I remember Koppel from Canniesburn back in the 1990s.

Yes that is the same place, I used to go and get my ortho treatment there and now I go back there to see the Prof too. Oral surgery clinic is awful to wait in, I was there for 3 hours once!!!!

In my 30 odd years attending oral surgery clinics I have never known an OS to answer a question if he/she can get out of it!!!! Trying to pin down answers is near impossible and you end up not knowing any more than when you first went in! Do they train them in this?????  If you throw in a few technical terms that throws them a bit! Give it a try.

Also what I used to hate when I was a kid and they were planning my big op was that they seemed to be in packs! You'd get like 8 of them all standing about looking at you, if you didn't have a complex going in you sure had one when you went out!!!! But mine have all been very nice despite this!

Karigan I just had to smile at your post about the orthos hunting in packs. It reminded me of being in hospital last week when the nurse called me through to sit in the dentist chair. An OS I'd never seen before came in, with a veritable battalion of white-coated students in his wake. There was hardly room for them to move. One of the students proffered the doc a lollipop stick, which the doc then stuck in my mouth. "Hmmm" said the doc. "Hmmm" echoed the students. The lollipop stick was placed in a tin provided by another student and then everyone left the room again.

I still wonder every now and again quite what that was all about! :?
