Hi Freerideuk
You poor thing having a panic attack, I really do feel for you - it is no doubt due to all of the stress you have been under and having the operation hanging over you for so long.
Sometimes, you don't realise that you are stressed out about things until something like this happens, you have been so 'upbeat' and cheerful about everthing, I guess it has just taken its toll.
You and your mum must have been worried to take you to A&E but as I'm sure you found out, the effects of a panic attack are harmless, but very very frightening, (and the symptoms, very very real) Pins & needles in your hands and feet (and face) is a typical sign, along with uncontrollable trembling. I can sympathise, both personally (as I have suffered panic attacks) and in my professional career as a Paramedic, I have seen many people suffering from them.
At least you have got stronger pain meds from this experience. Try to keep relaxed and calm if at all possible. You are well on the way to recovering now and before you know it, this will all be a distant memory.
Best Wishes for a continued recovery

Hey you're looking great for one week post-chop, you don't seem to have any bruising either lucky you! My lower face and eyes turned purple within hours of the chop, even the surgeons were surprised when they saw me.
Glad things are settling well for you and your feeling better.
All the best!
