O-Rings

#1 Post by Ibraces2007 »

Anyone else have had problems with their O-Rings? Mine tend to always come loose. When I first got my braces put on, two O-Rings just fell off maybe due to me biting into it while I'm chewing my food. Now just the other day, less than one week after getting new wires put in, I notice an O-Ring missing. Anyone else experience any troubles with O-Rings coming loose?

mine just does not pop out, they are cut up in half completely...i asked my dentist about it and he said there is nothing to be concerned about, just to watch that tooth extra carefully...now this morning i noticed another one dangling and falling out.

I've had one come off my lower teeth and a couple of wire ties off my uppers. This is not a common occurrence for me.

What did you guys do each time the O-Rings came loose? Did you guys just wait until the next dentist appointment to have those put back in? My dentist told me there is nothing to be worried about, but I am kind of worried since these O-Rings look to me look like they are what keeps the bracket and wire together. I am just worried this might delay my progress a little...

I waited until my next ortho visit. On one occasion, I didn't even notice that a lig was missing!
