Shame about those gaps re-opening, but I guess it was inevitable after your teeth being freed for 10 days. I agree with Denise that your gums are looking great, PLUS if it means you get a reprieve from the tongue torture device for now while your molar moves, that has to be good news!

About the silver adding an air of sophisitcation - the phrase "gilding the lily" comes to mind. How can you improve on perfection?

See ya later Ken!

Hi Ken~

I am sending a positive thought that your teeth will move as quickly back into place as they did moving askew. It's always a bit of a surpise what these braced teeth do, so you never know....

Isn't it inspiring to see your teeth in the photo shop pictures Lisa did? AND they're going to look even BETTER when your treatment is complete.

I just jumped around your story again and I've always wanted to know if that is you and your street car in your avatar? I didn't find the answer anywhere...

Looking gooood Ken! Am glad that your gums have healed nicely. Dont' worry about your gaps, they will close up in no time. That tongue habit appilance sounds pretty gnarly. Read about some in another thread. Hope that goes well for you when u get it. When the braces come off are you going to get a professional whitening or store bought strips? Keep it up, awesome progress!
I have just completed my treatment!!

That's fab news Ken! Well done on finally beating those gums into submission.

Hopefully your ortho can get on with closing those gaps now, without any more unwanted perio interruptions :D

I'm glad that your perio said she was elated, Ken! And you're right, I also think attitude has a LOT to do with how your treatment goes...even if some bumps in the road happen, it really does make it seem shorter and you have a completely different outlook!

Good luck on your appointment on February 5th,

AND...

when are you going to post some progress pics?

Hi Ken, I found your story!!

and congrats on the healthy gums !

and sorry to hear you'll be getting more gear in your mouth! but it won't take long for the gaps to close, you were there once and they will go right back ! The new appliance sounds terrible.

I went today to my Ortho and he is not going to replace my Bite Turbo that fell off... he said that my lowers with the metal Damon brackets have moved fast so my teeth are now clear of hitting the brackets!!

He said he wished I'd let him put metal Damon on my front 6 teeth because those 6 clears move slower than the rest of my mouth. Said if all were metal, I'd be out of the braces faster.

SOOO After my vacation, seeing my friends, I'm going to do it.

Yes, maybe mad as a hatter.... but the little Damon brackets are very easy to keep clean, so I actually won't miss those big clear brackets with their ligatures.

I have an appointment for Feb 19th to go Full Metal !

Again, Glad I found your story and I'll catch up with you in 2 weeks !!!
