Hi all,
Thgouth I'd post this in Invisalign forum too as it covers both types of braces!
I was wondering if anyone's ortho had suggested this route for treatment?
Mine has given me 2 options, ( I've already started on the Damon's)
Damon 3 - for 12/18 months.
Damon 3 - for 6 months and then invisalign for 6 - 12 months..
Does anyone have any experience of this particular route (I've read of people having Invisalign first and then Damon but not this way around!)
Any ideas and thoughts welcome!
thanks!

You got offered my ideal treatment! I wanted regular braces to do all the moving work(I could tollerate them for as long as they were doing noticable work!) and they would have really helped my bite more than Invisalign will. And then the phase where you wear braces after the bukl of the movement is done just to fine tune and allow the teeth to settle and become more secure - I wanted Invisalign. Your teeth will look beautiful by the time you will be able to get invisalign, you could show off really show of your teeth early and it will be like you only had braces for 6 months or so! Sweet deal!
Of course, what the above poster said makes sense as well. You will be used to the regular braces by then and have the whole routine down and won't have to worry about getting into a new one not to mention that some people have difficulties with invisalign and then have to switch to regular braces which would be annoying for you. Braces-Invisalign-Braces. But I see that chance being very slight as most of your movement will have occured when you were wearing the real braces.
Will the price be the same if you decide to swtich to the invisalign for the last stage?

Thanks for thoughts.
As its only my first week in the Damons I'm still getting used to the look / feel of them and the thought of the more invisable braces are very tempting right now!
Its good to have the choice to go to Invisalign if I'm still not used to the look of the Damon Braces, but I may feel differently in just under 6 months once i'm used to them..
The cost is another £1000 for Invisalign top & bottom which is a great deal, i've got a lovely understanding ortho here in London.
