How much weight have you lost since starting Invisalign?

Me: 15 pounds! My ortho forbid me to lose more and told me to drink protein shakes.

I stopped snacking, but I do pig out at meals. Snacking really makes a difference...

7 pounds in 2 months. Though I took up exercising just before starting invisalign as well. I don't snack either - I find I am just too lazy and really -I am never hungry enough to do it.

I don't think I will be loosing anymore though....

I lift weights and have to eat a lot to maintain my strength, so I was worried about getting enough calories when I started Invisalign. I've been able to keep eating as much as I used to and pretty much maintained the same weight. But it does take some extra effort to not have the aligners out too long, but still eat enough.

I don’t really weight myself. But I have notice that my butt is smaller(which I am not pleased about!).
My boobies are smaller, (which I am please about) and my stomach feels flatter.

I find that my appetite has reduced since starting the invisalign braces. It is such a pain taken the braces out each time you want something to nibble, in the end I choose to forget about my unhealthy snack and just drink water or herbal tea.

I used to be better at preparing all my food and shoving it down my throat quickly then putting the aligners back in. Lately, I've been taking more time to eat and have my aligners out a little longer. I think if I get full I'm better off doing a quick tooth brushing and putting the aligners back in for an hour, then taking them out and eating more.

thats kinda like me now..at first i was nuts about getting 22hrs a day in ( or more )...now im a bit more relaxed about it. the first few days, like today im starting a new tray, ill still shoot for a lot of time in but then i eat a bit more in a relaxed way later in the 2nd week.

with the weight loss my lifts went down as well which REALLY sucks, lol.

I'm just like you. Got 22 hours per day in the beginning, now wear them a little less, like 20.5-21 hours. And my lifts went down a little, but that's also because I cut back on lifting a little. And I got sick one week and could only eat about half of what I normally eat.

Oh well, I'm sure you'll get the strength back and be smiling :D about it.

I've lost about 5 pounds in 8 weeks, but had been working on losing slowly about a year before that (low fat yougurt lunch and more physical exercise- a combination that has worked great). I actually want to loose 5 more, which would put me back to my "trim self" that I was at age 30. I know the difference is not eating the cookies and things that people bring into the office, so that is a good thing for me. I haven't changed any other eating habits over the past year.
19 upper, 26 lower. Started with trays Feb. 18, 2008
