I Never Even Thought of This!

OMG! One of my close friends, (who has known and been with me through the whole Invisalign experience) said to me yesterday... "Your teeth look like you have DENTURES they are so perfect" Now, after chatting to some older friends online, I am realizing that at my age of 46, people are going to think that! Quite the distressing thought. Im a lil concerned also, that my bottom left front tooth is hitting my top left tooth on occasion. If I leave the aligner out for a hour or so it seems to go away. I guess a call to the ortho is in line. I need to know if I should leave the aligner out for a couple of hours before he puts in my bonded retainer?

LOL, I don't know about whether you should leave the aligners out or not, but if friends think you have dentures, then maybe you can say something so that they know they are real. Like, mention that you have to get your teeth cleaned or something. Or mention that one of your front teeth is sensitive, even if it isn't, just so they know they are your real teeth.

I know people who have obviously had braces and they look like they have "fake teeth" too. I sure hope mine don't turn out like that!! There is sure a difference between a natural smile and a perfect smile... I am just hoping for natural
