Today's the day

I woke up this morning with a slight ache to my top teeth - I guess it's in anticipation of having them put on this afternoon. I hope it goes well. Will let you know

Well, I have them on now for a good 5 hours. They definitely feel strange but not that bad. My husband & I went out for dinner afterwards and I had a nice Mushroom risotto which I could just let run down my throat. No chewing necessary. It was nice & tasty. I have bitten down on my teeth a few times and it does feel quite uncomfortable so I can't imagine just yet how it'll be chewing down onto something but for now I'm happy with the soft stuff. I've been taking Advil so I feel pretty good considering. Lets hope tomorrow is just the same or better. Now it's time to give a hand at cleaning these things.

Congrats on getting braced, we were almost twins! Mmm mushroom risotto sounds good, at the moment I seem to be doing the mashed potato thing a lot!

Well I can say that I've almost gotten used to having braces in my mouth now. I survived my weekend away with my husband and was able to eat most things but no bread. I love bread and apart from soaking it in soup miss it dearly. Today the very last bracket on my top teeth fell off. I wasn't very impressed to say the least. Exactly one week with them on and one has to come off just as I was making pancakes for myself!
I'm feelin' a little crummy today as I haven't eaten much.
I did manage to get an appointment with my ortho this afternoon and had it bonded back on again. Geez, it hurt when he put it back on, definitely was not gentle this time around. I just hope it stays on for good now. I have a feeling that it could have been my attempt at flossing the back top teeth last night. Of all the things we need to do to keep our braces in clean order, flossing is the hardest. I can't seem to pull my cheeks out wide enough to get the darn floss threader back there and when I do it just doesn't seem to floss right. Very frustrating. Anyway, I think that may be the reason why my back bracket could have loosened up because I was fiddling back there last night with the floss and could have pull it a bit to hard (if that make sense). I'll try and be a little more careful from now on.
