Well I just wanted to say thanks to all the users on this forum. I really have learned alot and would like to make my contributions to others as well. I am off to my pre-op appt tomm the 20th and my surgery on the 21st! I am still very nervous but after all the info here and pics (thanks KarlClayLA your pics were helpful) I am at least better prepared! I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach but after seeing everyone else "on the other side" I am very hopeful. I have my mother here with me (she's even a nurse) but my husband is in Iraq I will check back in after pre-op and then when I am coherant. Thanks again for all the good advice! Wish me luck
I just want to say, Best Wishes for tomorrow cmeyer! I will be thinking about you and sending all my most positive thoughts your way. TRY to get some sleep tonight! Did you have your steak with parmesean sauce?
Let us hear from you as soon as you are up to it---you will do GREAT!

Thanks guys! Yesterday was painful, my pre-op appt took 3 hrs, then I found out this splint thing would stay in after the surgery and got told not to eat after midnight even though my appt to come back wasn't until 945am. I spent all moning at the hospital I finally got back to work and was swamped. By the time I got everything finished it was 6pm before I could go home. I did get my dinner, just swapped the steak for the Olive Garden, got a taste for it at the last minute. I ate myslef into a food coma I had to get it all in so I wasn't starving the next morning. I am used to eating breakfast around 6 am! I did get some sleep but not the greatest. Gotta run fo now, thanks again and talk to ya'll when I'm home!!
