18 months today! NEW PICS 21 MAY 2008

Okay, I just really wanted to be able to start a post with that heading!

The pictures will tell you most of the story, but a few observations of my own are:
- My teeth are pretty much straight now.
- I don't have "fangs" anymore.
- The crossbite etc is all pretty much fixed up.
- The major thing left is to get rid of that open bite tendency I have.

I do have a minor issue with the root of my upper right canine, but I think we are going to torque the crown back out a bit so the root rests a little better in my gums.

Other than that, I am really happy with how things have gone. I have to confess I am totally sick of wearing multiple elastic configurations, but I know they are doing their job and I also know how excited I'll be when I get to stop wearing them!! It's been sooo long.......

Anyway, thanks guys for reading my "18 months today" post. Here's me really hoping that by the next special milestone (2 years) I might even be braces free! (Okay maybe not, but one's gotta have hope!).

Congratulations! It's great to find that you're happy with the progress that's occurred so far. I'll be sure to check out the pictures when they're posted.

I can't believe how great your teeth look compared to your earliest photos - no offense!! I was scrolling through thinking "yeah these look great" until I scrolled down to the last set of photos and I thought "HOLY CRAP!! These are fantastic"

I hope you're happy with the results you've had in only 18 months, best of luck with the remainer of your treatment : )

Hehe BoSox no offence taken. My teeth in the earliest pictures had gone through surgery and palatal expansion, creating some very strange shapes! Not that they were anywhere near perfect before surgery and expansion- I had heaps of crowding and fangs as a result!

Anyway, it is nice to see how far I've come from being Ms Gappy Square-Mouth!

Thanks guys! Here's hoping 6 months and I'm done! (Ortho appointment on Tuesday; I might be game and finally ask how long he thinks I roughly have left).
