Hi everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself, I am new around here. In the next couple of months I am finally going to get my teeth fixed and I am very excited! :D But I have been debating wether to choose braces or invisalign and I was wondering if you could share your stories with me. What are the pro's and con's of wearing invisalign, etc. I have read that it causes some speech problems, do you get used to that though? Oh, and how noticable are they?

Thank you very much!

I agree, I wouldn't get your hopes up yet. Best have a consultation first. A lot of offices offer a free one.

Yeah, you're right, thanks! However, I have seen other cases that are worse than mine and have received Invisalign treatment so I guess there is a possibility of me being eligible for it :D
But I can't be sure unless I consult a doctor of course. I just wanted to know a little more about them from people that have actually had them before making any decisions (if I am eligible for Invisalign). Thanks!

Kudos to you for doing your homework! You didn't state if your problem is crowding, spacing, etc. but I'm just starting out and like the Invisalign so far. The first few days take adjusting to (as with anything else) because your teeth are shifting. I'm now on day six and can take them in and out without a problem and the ache has significantly decreased. My friend has traditional braces and her teeth were pretty straight after about 4 months or so, but there were tweaks that needed to be done so she's still wearing them. If you can deal with having to brush and floss after every meal and can resist the urge to eat while wearing the aligners then you should do fine; otherwise you should go with the metal braces.
