Wow Jenny! The progress on your lower teeth is striking! I hope your upper teeth see the progress and get the idea! :D

I did a double take on your story about the guy you saw in braces. I rarely see adults in braces, but I did yesterday - the same day as you! I was at the Farmer's Market and this man with braces was working a veggie stand. I was not so discreet though, I blurted out "you have braces!!!" He was nice about it, and we ended up chatting about our braces for about 10 minutes! He has the kind with ligs, so he was showing me his red-white-and-blue colors. He was probably in his early 60's, and I'm 48. We were talking about seeing mostly kids in the orthos office, and the only adults we see are the moms!

oski1970: Thank you! :D Do you have a journal started yet? I'd love to keep up with your progress.

catfish: Thank you so much! Haha, isn't that a coincidence? I would have loved to have the courage to say something but I'm shy by nature. Maybe next time I see him...goodness knows I rent enough movies!

Bekah: We sure are coming along nicely! Yay for us!!

Thanks everyone for stopping in with all the kind words. I'm off to cut my grass(blah!) but I'll check in later! :-1

Jenny,

Thanks for stopping in on my story!

Your progress is amazing. Wow. Your bottom arch looks so good - much straighter.

I was reading the beginning of your story and had to giggle when you said you thought you lost a bracket and then spit out wax. I did the same thing! I was so scared I broke a bracket off just brushing my teeth. So now I know if I've missed some wax and get that feeling, I know it's NOT a bracket.

You and I have the same brackets - Damons all around. You're lucky with not experiencing pain in the beginning. Maybe I have a low pain threshold?

Anyway, you're doing awesome, and I look forward to following your progress.

Hey Jenny! Haha, you're right about the swapping wonky teeth, but we've got one more thing in common! You know, besides being canadian Jenny's with braces. I'm pretty sure our lower insciors are in the same position!

Your lower arch is doing AMAZING. I can't believe it's moved so much in so little time! congratulations! :D

Keep up the good work, and I'll pop in again soon!

Audra: Thank you! :D As far as pain, my lowers ached more then my uppers but nothing a little tylenol couldn't take care of. I hope you're not having too much discomfort! :? If you are, just be rest assured it'll get betterImage.

angel84: Thanks! I can't wait to see them in the end either!! haha

Boots: Haha, we DO have a lot in common!Image I could live without the wonky tooth but I'm sure it'll be sorted out soon. I saw the obituary for Mr. Wonky in your journal...too cute!! Chat soon....

Wow, you are all so nice!! :D

braces4astw22: I wasn't sure in the beginning if I'd ever get to a point where I could say I loved my braces but I do and I sure love what they're doing for my teeth!
BracedVeryLate: Here's to yours looking like mine in a few months :-88 . Yes, I'm extremely pleased! Oh, I bet yours are moving, it's just hard to notice. Do you take pics of your arches to compare? I do it once a month. Of course, looking at them everyday, I can't see changes.

XXNECRAXX: Thanks, Peggy!! How are your braces treating you now?

So, Monday will be 5 months for my uppers. It's hard to believe I'm almost half a year in!! I will post pics at the first of the week to compare although I'm not really expecting to see many changes, especially in my two front teeth but we'll see.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!Image

Hi all,

Sorry I'm a few days late with my 5 month upper update  . I've been so busy this is the first time I had a chance to sit down and update. I don't think I see any changes but any imput would be greatly appreciated. I don't go for my next adj. until August 13th but hopefully my ortho will have a plan of attack to fix my overlapping incisors. Without further ado...PICS!!
