Going a week without retrainer

#1 Post by Dtrain »

Yeah I have the invisible retainers, and yes they are a pain to keep track off when you take them out.

So I ended up losing my bottom one while I was on vacation, so I've not had my retainer in for a week, and won't get my final set until Aug. 5th.

Do bottom teeth move as badly as the top? I have my top retainer in, I don't think my bottom teeth have moved if at all.

I've had my braces off since June 16th, and I'm supposed to be wearing them nightly at this point.

When I get my hard set of retainers Aug 5th will it slid my bottom teeth back into position if they moved? Kinda like invisiline?

I think you should get the retainers with you and TAKE CARE of them. The fact you lose them is not an excuse, you need to be careful. I have already messed up with an invisalign tray and was lucky the next one fitted OK. Our problem is that we misplace them and need to be more careful. I don't lose my watch or my cell phone. I assume I'd be able to take care of my trays from now on, as if they were more "valuable" (they are in the end since the treatment cost a lot and we're messing things up if not doing what told by the ortho)
