My sister had similar issues, and did veneers instead. Much more money, but immediate satisfaction. Her teeth are not entirely hers, although. She saw my new smile last week and wished she had taken the time to do the invisaligns.
Overall, I think they were a pain to deal with, but the results are great. I go back in 2 weeks; the dentist wants to do some refining; another mold and likely a few more upper trays. I looked at the study model of my teeth before invisaligns and cannot believe the progress. However, one canine tooth is still not quite right the Dentist said. I would be happy with where I am, but he is encouraging me to consider molds and a few more tray. Why not, it is part of the initial fee I think.
I will still need to wear the final trays as retainers for 3 months when I am done with refinement. I now have a son in traditional braces--he is so jealous of my trays! (Only 11 and therefore not an invisalign candidate).
Anyone considering the option of invisaligns, if you want to feel great finally about your smile go for it!
