New here, excited to have started treatment
Hi Folks. I just turned 27 and have never been happy with my smile. I decided to do something about it and scheduled a consultation with a premiere Invisalign DDS in Southern California. Three days later, I had my separators in place and I was on my way to a better smile. My tentative treatment is a quad helix expander for five months to fix my crossbite/narrow jaw, followed by ~8 months of Invisalign. I have Metlife dental insurance and they covered $2000 of the cost, leaving $4180 out of pocket expense. I've had my expander in for 5 days so far. The pain has subsided but it's still difficult to talk and eat. I decided to go with Invisalign as I would be very self conscious with traditional braces in my profession. I'll post some pics when I notice progress!
