4-Months Post-Op Update

Should get my braces off in the next couple of months... finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Here are some updated pics.

Everything seems to be going well, the numbing is down to the size of a quarter halfway between my chin and lower lip although the lower lip sometimes tingles a bit to the touch but I barely notice it.

To be honest, even with the numbness, everything feels completely back to normal and with the numbness area decreasing with time, I'm sure it'll be gone within the next 8 months. If for some reason it isn't, I can definitely live with this!

Now if my ortho and jaw surgeon could only do something about my receding hairline!

Ryan, if I remember correctly, I had my BSSO about a month after you, so it is very helpful to follow your progress! I experienced very similar extent and area of numbness, so I'm glad to hear that your numbess is down to a quarter size now. I, too, could deal with it fine if it were to stay this way ('cept my lip) but happy to learn that I can probably look forward to a continued lessening, too.

Your BSSO turned out fabulous---you must be so thrilled!
