Hi Katie,

Looking good!!! That lonesome tooth is working its way to join the party!!! Is your ortho nearby? I'm sure that you can go in and they'll change your ligs. My uppers are back in powerchains and I only like the clear and inbetween visits I had it changed and when I was in for my adjustment today, I already told them that I'll be in, in two weeks for the chain to be replace. Can't give up coffee either!!! The day and the life of a mom!!!

B
Started the journey for the second time on January 10th 2008~Ceramic uppers and metal lowers. Removed on June 2nd 2009.

hehe, i've found a coffee drink that doesn't stain...its called "rockstar roasted coffee light vanilla"
ive been drinking it everyday for about 2 weeks and so far, no staining yay!!my ligs are also a clear-ish light blue color, i am not sure if that has anything to do with them not staining yet...but give that coffee drink a try, its yummy too!

your teeth are looking good! :D

Had my adjustment today and my ortho was DELIGHTED with my progress
He pulled out the before pics to show the assistant how far along my teeth have come in just 8 1/2 months. "all of this movement and we never had to pull *A* tooth!!!" he had to have said it five times. I was so excited that he was excited. He reminded me we still have a ways to go, but the big hurdles are over!
I had my bottom teeth all contoured to add extra space so the jabber tooth (which is no longer a jabber tooth!) has a bit more room to straighten out. Next appointment is Dec 16th :jump:

:pinkbraces:

Thank you Ken & tldyer!!!!

I am so happy at how easy this process has been for the most part! This is one of the best things I have ever done for myself. It's been 9 months, and the changes are amazing that have already taken place! Even if he took my braces off tomorrow, I'd be happy! They look 100% better then when I started this journey in Feb!

I'm so curious to see how long I'll be wearing them. My doc doesn't give timelines. Everyone's mouth is different and you see as you go. He is surprised at how fast my "older aged teeth" have shifted already, so I guess that is a good sign, lol.

Hope all is going well with you guys also. thanks for checking out my updated story :flowerbloom:

Well it's been almost a month since my last update, and although I don't think I've made much progress, I still think I am coming along quite nicely.
My last appointment was last Tuesday and as I was sitting in the chair a kid in the chair next to me was getting his braces taken off. The office staff was making a huge deal about it and he was so excited. I told the assistant I'd be excited too if I were him! She says, "Well it doesn't look like too much longer and you'll be in his chair!" My ortho said, "Now let's not get her too excited!" but then continued to have me open, close, open, close, measuring and really looking in my mouth. Then he says, "Let's do an xray next appointment and check root placement, you really are looking fantastic!" WAHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hard to believe that I've had them on since last Feb! Also exciting to know that at first they said depending on how quickly my teeth move, it could be upwards of 2+ years I'd have these on!

The one side of my mouth is still behind as far as matching up where the jabber was pulled into place, but beyond that, everything else is looking good. The front tooth that is chipped is being kept longer than the other so when the braces come off, he can file it down without losing any length.

Here are updated pics, tell me if you notice any diff from last month? I'm not seeing it, but again; I'm not concerned!
