I am embarrased to say that I found a way to bite my nails even with braces and with my weird bite now I sure want to stop the bad habit but it is so hard.
Wow, Flaka, I really can't imagine how you could find a way to bite your nails with the braces on! I was a nail biter before and now for me it is completely impossible to bite them. So..yes, for me the ortho appliance to prevent nail biting are braces themselves...
Thank you for all of you have replied. I thought this might be a ridiculous question to ask, but I figured I couldn't be the only nail biter out there who has wondered about nail biting and braces. I hope all in the USA had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

jxds, I don't even know how neither...I just always find a way....slowly but somehow I manage to bite my nails or at least some of them. At the begining it was impossible and after a few months I decided to give it a try again. Gosh...shame on me honestly, I need to stop.
I am so glad for all you who can't bite them....keep it that way.
