Lela's braces: 12-08 update photos
Moderator: bbsadmin
I just got back from my second adjustment. I have new wires on top and bottom and a powerchain on the bottom front six. No soreness so far but it hasn't been very long. I changed the colors this time. I went with a medium rose on all the metal brackets and powerchain, for the six clear brackets I went with white at the last second. I should have stuck with the silver, white is much too bright. Oh, well
. Back to silver next time. I do like the pink though, it sort of tones down the shine for the brackets and still blends with my mouth. I guess there is no real way to hide these things, lol.
I'm happy with my progress so far and so is my ortho.

Happy Holidays everyone!

It looks like you're making great progress. I miss those colored powerchains. My ortho has decided that with the amount of movement I need on my time frame, I need the strongest possible chains. Those are rather boring natural colors.
14-18 months.....you look to be right on schedule or a touch ahead.
Continued good luck.

Today was adjustment #4.
There were lots of changes:
A powerchain on top, new elastic configuration (kind of an "L" pattern), and a thermal rectangular wire for the bottom.
All 4 buttons were left in place for possible future use I guess. The new elastic configuration is to pull the lowers forward and the uppers down. And so far is not much fun.

I moved all my photos while the site was locked and since I am unable to edit my posts now, I guess there is nothing I can do about all the little blank boxes

Thanks Brika
I'll get used to the fact that I can't open my mouth soon enough, and once I get the hang of putting the elastics on I'll be fine.
On the birght side I will soon be cured of my lip licking habit, lol.

Another adjustment today. No new wires, just powerchains top and bottom. I only need to wear the elastics at night this time, same configuration. My ortho said I am way ahead of schedule so that it exciting
only another 4-5 months at most he thinks. Yay!
I went with a smoke colored chain on top and raspberry on the bottom.
