Chrisk's photos (now with Braces off)

#1 Post by chrisk »

Well, i finally worked out how to post photos so here are some photos of my teeth.

Here are my photos of 10 months of braces treatment. The first one is my teeth after about 9 1/2 months of treatment (Yay, i can close my mouth over my teeth now - next step jaw surgery). The gaps are nearly closed. I'll try and send one showing my teeth and gaps next time. My overbite has been reduced to about 10mm - all we can do without jaw surgery because i would lose support for my top lip.

The second one is my 6 month photos. These show the improvement in my overbite after just 6 months of treatment, plus a much rounder top arch.

The first one shows the photos from my orthodontist pre-braces. Note my really narrow upper jaw. This is my 15mm overbite pre-braces.

Still no date for surgery, but either way, I'm rapt with my progress.

Hi Chrisk - Looks like your making very good progress :) I can really symphasize with the narrow upper palate and narrow arch, because that's what I had, due to overcrowding. Hope your surgery goes okay, and Well done for showing the photo's and good luck with the rest of your treatment.

Thanks Dodger for your positive comments. I'm sure if i hadn't had 6 teeth out when i was 12 in preparation for braces (which i never got until now) then i would have had a lot more crowding.

Mind you, i might not have waited 28 years to get this done and had it done when i was in my 20's, not when i was close to turning 40, if i hadn't had those teeth out.

Well, 16 days to go until surgey. I haven't posted any photos for some time because essentially my profile has not changed. The ortho has spent the last year or more moving my last molar back and pulling up a partly erupted molar, and my surgery date is fast approaching. Post surgery I'll try and post some more.

I've loaded some pre-surgery and post-surgery photos in the Orthognathic Surgery section, if anyone's interested in having a look.

Over 900 days since I got my braces and they'll soon be off. On the 2nd Feb I have my debanding date. I'll be sure to post some before and after photos either here, or under my story in the orthognathic surgery section.

My braces are off. I have posted some pictures under my story in the orthognathic section but thought I'ld put a couple here too. I was in braces for 2 years, 7 months and 2 days and it's been around 5 1/2 months since my jaw surgery.
