bottom front tooth removal to create space?

#1 Post by IceBlonde »

Hi,

During my last adjustment, my ortho mentioned the possibility of my having a tooth removed to alleviate the crowding I have with my lowers. However, the tooth he would want removed is one of the 4 little ones between the 2 canines (I'm sure they have a name, but I can't think of it right now).

I was concerned that this was going to look funny, but he assured me that once the gap closed up, no one would be able to tell the difference. Wouldn't my canines be closer together?

This is still just a "possibility", it's not for sure yet, but I was wondering if anyone else has had one of these particular teeth removed to create space, and how it worked out for you.

Any input is helpful! :D

Thanks,
*IceBlonde

Many people have had that done, nobody will notice unless you point it out to them.

I had that done, and I have to point it out to people because they don't notice otherwise. I'll smile and ask them if they notice anything odd and they never do.

Personally, I look the fact theyre closer together, I personally like the look, although its subtle. Its kinda vampireish, but very subtle.
