How many hours do you keep in your trays?

Discussions about treatment with invisible braces that use clear aligners, such as Invisalign, OrthoClear, the Red White and Blue system, etc.

I am embarrassed to say, but I basically take my trays out whenever it suits me.

I know, I'm only cheating myself, I've payed a lot for this and should do it right. But it's hard to stop cheating when you keep getting away with it.

Sometimes I do the 22 hours (especially the first few days) and sometimes I do more like.. 12.

I think that I have them in about 19-20 hours on a so-called normal day.

I'm on tray 18/25 and have not had any problems.

Yeah, I've cheated more now that I'm closer to finishing. I think if anything, not wearing them enough will cause the teeth to go off track a bit. But I figure they can always correct it with refinements. It is only going to extend the treatment time.

I would guess it makes more of a difference at the beginning of a series of aligners because if your teeth go off track early then all the later aligners will be wasted.

If your teeth are still tracking well, then I'd say don't worry about it.

i have been really good with keeping them in. I aim for 22hours every day.

It just cost too much money and i want this to work as good as it can.

I am quite a big eater and liked snacking, but all that had to stop.

I try eat my meals fast , but i found i am now eating more regularly.

I eat yogurts and drink everything except red wine with the trays in as

my dentist reccommended. I am happy with my treatment so far.
