We all know oral hygiene is important, so let's talk about our routines.
Here's mine.
Throughout the day:
Brush for 3-5 minutes after every meal
Use an interdental brush or floss, if needed
I brush after almost every meal. I saw almost every meal because I don't immediately go brush my teeth every single time I eat. I like to snack and if I know I'm going to have a snack an hour after I finish dinner, I decide to hold off on the brushing until after the snack.
Before bed:
Brush for 5 minutes
Use an interdental brush to clean around the brackets
Floss with SuperFloss
Rinse with ACT mouthwash
What's your oral hygiene routine? How often do you brush?
I to belive oral hygiene is important espicially when you have braces on. You gotta make sure that your teeth are as clean as they possibly can be so that you don't run into any unexpected problems. Here we go with my routine and oral hygiene ritual!
I use:
-interdontal brush (x mas tree brush)
-sulca brush (massages gums, helps clean around the gums, keeps the gums healthy)
-oral b vitality electronic tooth brush with the braces head
Morning routine (after breakfast)
-use the interdontal brush
-then the sulca brush
-brush for 3 mins
-use a mouth wash (right now I'm using a salt water rinse as Ive been temporary banned from any commerical mouth wash because they were trying to figure out my stanning issue)
-rinse with water after a few minutes of completing the salt water rinse)
During the day (Lunch, snacks, etc)
-use the interdontal brush
-use the sulca brush
-rinse with water
**Note: If I have a very messy lunch or snack I will give my teeth a quick brush with my mini travel tooth brush)
Night time routine
-pretty much same as the morning time routine
So in total: I brush my teeth 2, unless I have a really messy snack for food during the day

Rinse with antiseptic mouthwash (it's for mouth sores)
Brush, brush, brush with Ultreo toothbrush.
after lunch and or dinner: repeat a.m. routine if home, otherwise if out I use the little brush to clean around brushes, rinse with mouthwash and brush with travel ortho brush.
nighttime: repeat a.m. routine.
I also rinse/swish my mouth out with water if unable to brush right away to get what I can out of the braces.
Oh, and after each of these i apply a crapload of wax. lol
