For the past few months my right upper front tooth has been feeling loose. It doesnt so much move but clicks all the time and just doesnt feel as secure as the others....Well as secure as braces would allow.
Yesterday was my monthly visit to the ortho. I discussed my issue with him and and he empathized with me telling me that he would make it feel a little more secure. He moved the bracket to a different position. Everything was fine until I woke up this morning with one tooth VISIBLY shorter than the other. Apparently the new position of the bracket caused the tooth to move further up into the gum.
Has anyone ever experienced this? I cannot WAIT to call tomorrow. I'd like to think it's as simple as readjusting the bracket...but who knows. I'm getting really nervous. Im embarrassed to smile because it's so obvious...I'm amazed that such a drastic change took place over night.
One tooth now shorter than the other.

I know EXACTLY what you mean about the two teeth being different levels. At my last adjustment, I emphasized again to my orthodontist that my front left tooth was sticking out slightly so he said, I'll just bend the finishing wire some more and we'll get aggresive with it. I got up the next day and now my front left tooth is higher than my front right tooth. It is driving me NUTS and I hate smiling right now.

i have one front tooth that is now shorter that the other one as well, I just hope that before removing my braces the ortho will fix this! It does not really bother me right now, since given the amount of metal in my mouth I don't think anyone but me will notice it... I just consider it to be one of the et-worse-before-getting-better stages of the treatment.

Yeah, I get what you're saying...but the fact that the change in the bracket caused this look after 12 months makes it a little hard to deal with. I feel like he may have not intended this to happen....I dunno.jxds wrote:i have one front tooth that is now shorter that the other one as well, I just hope that before removing my braces the ortho will fix this!
