Thought I'd introduce myself, since i'm new and all. =p
I had braces from age twelve to fifteen. I'm nineteen now. I had an extreme overbite and crowding and teeth in my gums.. and yikes, it was not pretty. Well.. long story short, my mom kind of picked out a not so great orthodontist. Wasn't her fault that the guy sucked. he pretty much threw brackets on my teeth.. I was supposed to have them on for four years and he took them off after three, and even admitted.. "eh, they're not supposed to be off yet, but i'll take 'em off anyway."
Long story short, my teeth weren't perfect when he got them off (they were a lot better, though)... and the retainers he made didn't fit my teeth. My teeth have shifted back almost completely. -sighs-
It's been something that's been haunting me since. It affects nearly every aspect of my life.. ESPECIALLY social. So, finally, my mom told me she wanted me in braces again.
We went to a new ortho. He's so awesome. He's probably gonna shave off a little bit of the sides of my two front teeth because they look too wide and he wants them to look longer in order for a more aesthetically appealing smile. This guy knows his stuff, srsly.
So.. on August 5th I'm going to get molds done. : D.
He's putting me in metal lowers and iBraces on uppers (yes, linguals!)
I'm nervous about it, but he assures me my smile will be perfect.
October 26th I'm getting them put on for eighteen months!
I'm so excited I can barely wait... I can barely contain myself either though! I know I should probably post in the 'linguals' section, but I figured i'd take my chances and see if anyone has had linguals before?
Anyway, when the time comes I'll post before pictures and whatnot. I'm so excited! And sooo nervous.
Anyway, I'm glad to be hereee
