NAHKY, aren't you happy you went through it? My younger cousin can't decide whether she wants to do both jaws or just the lower for her underbite. I'm trying to help her calm down about the fact that she'll be brusied and swollen. She looks around this board every so often, I must have her come check out your story, no sugar included.

Gotta say wow, what great results! but also a real thank you for posting so thorough a diary of the events and procedures. It makes us more determined than ever to get our smiles in line! Wow...Been awhile since I last posted. Hope everyone has been keeping well.
Just thought I should give a quick update about my teethy-situations
Im still very pleased with my result and continue to smile with glee!
The retainers, is a whole different issue, hehe. They arent too much of a pain to wear. I wear it every second night when I can. Keeps things in order.
I think I should post some pics of myself. I guess show how things are, almost 2 years later after jaw surgery
Coming very very soon!
On the job front, I have beocme a flight attendant. Dont think i could have gotten this job if i hadnt done had my jaw issue sorted out. and im so glad for it

wow.. amazing results! your teeth are beautiful.
i'm an 18 year old female and i have an underbite, i've lightly considered this surgery for the past couple years, until a few days ago when i was watching a tv show where a girl had a really horrible underbite and got the surgery done, she had wonderful results as well, and it made me think of my underbite.. so i've been reading up on it the past few days and it's more tempting with the more i read
i too suffer from self confidence issues, i HATE my profile, it looks so awful..
and i always feel people are staring at my stupid chin jutting out, and ugh. i think i've been developing a bit of a speech problem lately too, i notice i slur my words more..
the cost really isnt a big problem for me because thankfully i live in canada and have blue cross so dental is like 50% or more covered.. but the recovery is what really turns me off/scares me
your face was soooo swollen! augh i guess i'm just kinda babbling but i had to post about how much i hate my damned underbite and say how beautiful your smile is now.. hehe
i know the last time you posted was well over a year ago but i hope you're doing well in life and stuff and still enjoying your perfect teeth <3 take care
