These Chewies Things, How Long & Often??

#1 Post by ChelseaRox »

Im on day 10 and was told to chew my Chewies 2-3 times a day for 15 mins each time. Just wondering if anyone was told the same & does that mean EVERY day or just the first few days of a new tray??

I was told to use the chewies for the first 3-4 days of each tray. I personally use them twice a day for the first few days of each tray. I find that is enough to correct any little areas that aren't fitting perfectly when I initially change the tray. I am on tray 8 and haven't experienced any problems with respect to the trays fitting my teeth.

Interesting, I wasn't given chewies at all. I have however developed a nasty habit of chewing down on my aligners, kind of biting them between my teeth. Maybe this will do the same job?! :)

I wasn't given chewies either. In my case I have attachments on the back of my front teeth that keep my lower teeth from biting into the gums behind my uppers. With my aligners in, my rear teeth don't contact each other.

A short little YouTube video I put together for another board to talk about aligner chewies. They are a very useful tool for Invisalign treatment.

Those who grind their teeth are usually excellent Invisalign patients, because the biting force tends to make sure aligners are always snug.
