Dental implant post & Invisalign

#1 Post by ArubaDi »

Can a person with a dental implant use Invisalign treatment? How would the implant be affected?

Hi there,
I'm not sure. I have a crown that has a metal post through the middle of the root of my tooth. It needs replacing and I am absolutely terrified! It has moved fine with my invisalign though, although it only goes through the tooth it is not nchored to the jaw.

Implants cannot be moved by conventional braces or by Invisalign. If the implant is in the correct position, treatment should be directed and moving the surrounding teeth to match it.

Good luck!
