I got my first set of aligners fitted on Saturday (17.10.09), attachments fitted, and some IPR done. When taking the top aligner out for the first time, one of the attachments came off. Then another when I took them out a second time. Since then, I've mastered getting them in and out and no more have come off.
I've been to get the attachments put back on this morning (23.10.09) and again, the first time I took the top aligner out, the same two came off !!
Has this happened to anyone else. Its as if the top aligner will just not come out with these two attachments on. (I have another 2 on the top).
Attachments coming off !!

Hi there,
It hasn't happened to me, but I have read of other people having the same problem. Unfortunately as far as I remember they had to go back and get them put on again.
The good news is that once they get them on properly they do tend to stay put. In fact, I'm getting pretty worried about how we will get mine off.

I've only lost one attachment and my ortho put back on the same afternoon. I did have all of seven original attachments removed for a mid-course correction. My ortho had to grind them off - it was not a pleasant experience. To me it was worse than when I had regular braces removed the last time when there was some polishing to remove the glue. The attachments are a much harder material.
After the mid course correction, I ended up with eight new ones. I'm really looking forward to the day after these things are removed!!
